The Four Seasons

For this first couple of weeks of school, I'm teaching the kids about the seasons. Today, they dressed themselves up for each season. This is fall.
Here is spring.
Summer!
Winter. This one is tough to do in 90+ degree weather. Not only are Keira's legs bare, but Andrew has nothing on underneath his snow jacket.
I'm planning to write more about home schooling, the fair, our first Northern CA amusement park and more soon. Until then, recess is over! Gotta' go!

The Barbers in Grass Valley

After leaving at 4:30am on Monday, we made it up to our new home! Andrew's first comment when we pulled in to the driveway was, "We got trees! We got trees!"
The view from in front of our house. Gabe laughs that this is the most suburban neighborhood we've ever lived in... and it's not in SoCal!
We are loving our covered patio in the back. The kids are having fun exploring around the backyard and Kai is enjoying chewing on rocks... it makes a horrible sound.
Here's the (messy) inside. The house has a huge kitchen with a great nook looking out to the street. We've already gotten to meet many neighbors and it seems like a great neighborhood. There's even a little 6-year-old girl next door! (btw, that's more info about neighbors than we ever knew at our old place!)
Here's the family room. Awesome window seat area for reading, fireplace for stockings, and play area behind the couch. We'll post more pictures of the whole place once we're moved in and it's clean. We just wanted to give a quick update so you could all see where we're at.
We look the same too.
